District Deputy 2009-2010

Jason A Seiler

Jason Seiler is the District Deputy for District 16 for the fraternal year 2009-2010, and he brings with him a wealth of knowledge, experience, enthusiasm, and an unmatched record of success.  Mr. Seiler served as a Grand Knight during the 2005-2006 fraternal year, at the end of which his council earned the State Deputy’s Award, Star Council, and Circle of Honor Award (top 10 of all councils in Virginia).  While serving as a Trustee, Mr. Seiler took on the job of State Columbian Squires Chairman.  There, Mr. Seiler took a broken program and brought it to the top of the Order, going so far as to win two Supreme Awards; membership increase and new circle development.  Mr. Seiler also served as his Council’s webmaster for 6 years, twice winning the VA State Council’s Outstanding Council Website of the Year Award.  Mr. Seiler is a Past Faithful Navigator, a 3rd degree ceremonialist, and has served as a district nominator.  Mr. Seiler enjoys the full support of his lovely wife Galena, and his precious daughter Gabriella.

The District level includes a District Deputy.  Districts are composed of several councils in the same geographic region.  The District Deputy has general charge of the councils, is responsible for overseeing the Exemplification of the Second Degree, and installs Council Officers.  The District Deputy's jewel is a Sextant and Feather with the words "District Deputy" laid across them and suspended from a red ribbon. These symbolize his role in helping to guide the Councils in his district.  (Sections 60-62 of the Charter, Constitution, Laws)
