Much has been
said about the
current financial
turmoil effecting
your long-term
savings (retirement
funds), credit
markets, and
especially the home
mortgage situation.
Please remember NOT
to over react to
what you hear and
are asked to do. If
you are not near
retirement, you
should have the
"long view" ahead
of you. Markets do
rebound. Besides
you're 401(k) is
picking up shares at
a much lower price.
Diversification is
also another mantra
you often hear. One
of the BEST ways to
safely diversify is
with a Knights of
Columbus Flexible
Premium Annuity.
You'll see the
current rates on the
left side bar for
the Vantage Annuity
and rates for our
regular annuity at
the bottom of this
page. If you don't
have an annuity with
the Order, call me
to start one. You
just need $300
initial payment to
begin a wonderful
tax-deferred savings
plan. The end
result of your
program would then
be a source of
income that you can
NEVER deplete.
Please read below
the message
concerning
membership. Your
assistance can help
your council achieve
new "workers for the
field."
Have a safe and
wonderful October
and don't overdo
the "cheer" at the
those council
Oktoberfests!
God bless...

The Time to Recruit
New Members is Now
A
wise man once told me
that time surely flies
in the life insurance
business. Without a
doubt, time flies in the
"membership business"
well. Even though our
fraternal year is not
nearly yet half over,
June 30 will be here
before we know it.
Since we all have our
sights set on the Star
Council Award, now is
the time to work towards
that goal. The purpose
of my message today is
to remind you of the
wonderful opportunity
you have to help your
council grow, and to
offer a couple of
suggestions on how you
best do tha t.
The month of October
brings the
Order-wide
membership "blitz"
recruitment
campaign. Now is
the time to speak
with interested
prospective parties
and make them
members in the
upcoming months.
Your council's
membership team
(grand knights and
officers, membership
director and me) is
an excellent
resource for help,
not only in
explaining to
prospects our
outstanding
insurance products,
but also the many
other benefits of
joining the Order.
Even better, they
can help you feel
more comfortable in
making the
membership "sale"
yourself.
The Order-wide
membership blitz
will take place
October 11-12.
However, your
council may either
do pulpit
announcements and
signups earlier or
later than these
dates. Just check
your council's
newsletter or
website for more
information. More
importantly, when
attending your
favorite Mass,
wear your council
name badge and give
a few minutes at the
"tables" to assist
your Brother
Knights.
As our Supreme
Knight Carl Anderson
states repeatedly,
EVERY
CATHOLIC GENTLEMAN
DESERVES AN
OPPORTUNITY TO
BECOME A KNIGHT OF
COLUMBUS.
We just have to
ask him to join!
