Council 4522 supports the Queen of Apostles Parish, the Community and Knights of Columbus organization-wide events throughout the year. Below are just some of the opportunities awaiting Brother Knights (and in most cases their families as well). Your support and participation are greatly appreciated!
CHRIST HOUSE
Every other month, beginning with January on the second Tuesday, Brother Knights (and their families) prepare and serve the evening meal at Christ House. Christ House is a Catholic center to help those in need of all faiths in trying times
We feed about 60 to 70 people including families. We meet at 4 pm to set up and prepare the evening meal. This is a family activity. Wives and older children are welcome.

MARCH FOR LIFE
Our council has long participated in The March for Life in Washington, D.C., which began as a small demonstration and rapidly grew to be the largest pro-life event in the world. The peaceful demonstration that has followed on this somber anniversary every year since 1973 is a witness to the truth concerning the greatest human rights violation of our time, legalized abortion on demand.

FISH FRY
Each year, our council sponsors Friday evening fish fries throughout the Lenten season.
ESSAY CONTEST
The Order encourages all councils and assemblies to sponsor the Knights of Columbus Essay Contest at schools in their communities. The essay contest is a creative way to encourage young people to become citizens who are firmly grounded in the Faith. Council 4522 annually conducts the Essay Contest at the Queen of Apostles School.
KofC ANNUAL BASKETBALL FREE THROW and SOCCER PENALTY KICK CONTESTS
Since 1972, councils have sponsored the Knights of Columbus International Free Throw Championship and Soccer Penalty Kick Contests for boys and girls between the ages of 9 and 14. The championships are set up to have the contestants compete within their own gender and age group. All competition starts at the local level (parishes within the Councils). Winners move on to the district, regional, and state or provincial levels. From there, some make it to the international level for championship competition in their group.
